“Recently named the most deprived area in Scotland, Greenock has an average of only 19% of mothers that continue breastfeeding after 6 weeks, however specific areas in Greenock are drastically lower than that, even down to 1%, giving the town the 2nd worst rate in the world. Hopefully this mural will spark conversation that will lead to normalising breastfeeding and improve breastfeeding rates in the area.”
