It feels good to get a commision for a hotel that takes in consideration the place where they are and decide to honorate the first owners of this lands. We could say that they are trying to explote the Mayan culture, because is trending now, but I can say that it was really an honest move out of respect to the original inhabitants. And compared to my homeland where natives are seeing as inferior people, this feels like a positive step forward, no luxury hotel in Argentina would ever use a native face in their front door, so even if it doesn’t change things much, is still something.”
