“The mural ‘Diversity Embassy’ by artist Okuda integrates a range of colours, pattern, and rainbows to reflect diversity and inclusion. It introduces play and colour on the facade of Intuitions – between the sea and the city, which was a venue at the Mumbai Urban Art Festival 2022-2023.
Okuda has drawn inspiration from the vibrant colours, material realities and the energetic spirit of Sassoon Dock. He creates spaces of interaction in public and urban contexts, and his mural represents a space where all identities, cultures and genders are welcome.
Okuda’s work is often a study of contrasts, with bright tones juxtaposed against deep colours. He situates himself as a Pop-Surrealist artist. Through his art, he embraces universal symbols of multiculturalism, freedom and love.”
