“This mural by Jan Vallverdú in the village of Alpens, Osona, is based on the traditional craftsmanship of the village, forging, which is a discipline that has a strong presence in the architecture of the village and its public spaces.
Jan Vallverdú has created a large floral composition on the façade of the village’s “Fàbrica Vella” (Old Factory), which is the annual international meeting point for forgers, thus making a pictorial intervention of a sculptural nature, emphasising the volumes and textures, together with the chromatism of rust that the iron takes on with the passage of time.”
