Hera found inspiration for her beautiful mural titled “Wild Child” by observing the surrounding context and engaging in conversations with the inhabitants of the village, particularly the foreigners who have chosen to live in Civitacampomarano.
The artist was struck by their determination to live in a picturesque yet often inconvenient place, especially due to its isolated location, which complicates many aspects of our daily lives. However, as Hera emphasizes in the poetry that invariably accompanies the figurative part of her works, it is precisely these challenges that “make the good things taste even sweeter.”
To portray these wild spirits, Hera chose the image of one of the many resident cats.
After completing her main masterpiece, Hera ventured into the abandoned part of the village to gift us with other extraordinary creations. Smaller in size but no less significant, these spontaneous and hidden artworks fully embody the essence of street art.
