“After 15 days of work, dealing with the weather, getting trapped in the crane due to lack of gasoline, some color changes in the composition, constantly dodging an electricity cable that crossed the 3 murals, the exhaustion of getting up all the days without a break until it was done, the constant interruptions from the lovely people from the town who wanted to express their approval and in some cases, satiate their curiosity; but this work was completed and for this reason I would like to take the opportunity to thank Geneviève Guilmette who was always behind me, taking care of me and supporting me in everything I needed, both in materials, as well as my health and nutrition, that is why I can say I didn’t need anything and I had the necessary strength to finish on time (I was just signing when the storm started). To the people who offered to help me and to Danny Langevin for the amazing video he made while he was watching me from his window. And there is a person that I want to thank in particular and that I have never done and that without him I would not be here today. I want to thank you, Farid, 24 years old, for deciding to take the fate of your future into your own hands, for not giving up on your dreams despite the fear of failure and the zero possibility of success. For having endured hunger, mockery, attacks, tiredness and having continued. Because 12 years ago you did not speak English and now you can communicate in 5 languages, because 12 years ago you had not left your city and today you have visited more than 36 countries. I am proud of you and very happy and tell you, from the future that you have achieved it. Not because you live from painting, but because you live to paint. Thank you for everything you have given me, thanks to that effort I will not stop fighting and I will continue doing what we like.”
