“We often hear stories of love — love at first sight when words fall short, but eyes speak volumes.
Romance.
But how frequently do we catch that glance that silently pleads for help? Perhaps not as often as we’d like to believe… Maybe we choose not to see it, wrapped up in our own lives and the crowns we wear on our heads. Meanwhile, there’s someone out there drowning, afraid to ask for help, leaving only a look.. Yet, we often fail to notice… We remain behind our fences, just like the other person. That’s how we exist, each with a crown atop our heads and an invisible fence around us.
That’s who I’ve become, or perhaps, I was always this way — an individual with my crown and my personal fence…
I could recount numerous instances of my mistakes, but that’s a story for another time.
By the way, let me tell you about the guy in the drawing; his tale is one of love at first sight, a silent connection, as he and his now-wife spoke different languages.”
