“At the end of May, I had the honor of participating in the fourth Pinta San Luis festival, which lasted five days in the capital city of San Luis. There were a total of 50 muralists, representing a wide range of styles, from graffiti to contemporary art. It was a very intense, challenging, and enriching week, filled with painting, learning, meeting old and new friends, thought-provoking conversations, exchanging opinions and stories.
I painted this mural titled “The Wisewoman” (3.5m x 8m or 12ft x 26ft) in three days with the help of my great friend and artist Juan Ra, the team of Pinta San Luis, and the people living in the neighborhood of “El Hornerito”, where the wall was located. They welcomed us with great affection, always providing hot water for mate (traditional South American tea), and opening the doors of their homes.”
