“LA CRÉATURE DU RHIN
What I’ve always enjoyed doing in my job is the possibility to try new mediums, experiment new techniques and most of all, I love to see my creatures in volume !
This installation, made in Strasbourg for the Hotel Graffalgar comes from the wish to create a hybrid work, mixing wall painting and sculpture.
The upper part, the head of the creature, has been made with wood and love by Julia Marotel and painted by myself !
The name of this installation is a direct reference to my unlimited love for monsters and in particular the ones that were born in movies, like the universal monsters, Godzilla etc …”
