“Being alone, being together. On two sides of the building, the mural presents these two states of being to reflect on the ways in which we spend time alone or together, and the balance between them. In a busy street, the mural invites the viewer to slow down and reflect on the feelings of loneliness and connection, which don’t correlate directly with being alone or being with others. We can feel connected while alone, or lonely while in company. One is not better than the other, it is about finding the balance between them and a sense of connection in both.”
