“The mural depicts a young Caesar with a broken crown of laurels, falling out of frame. I see hope and optimism in AC, a community that is working to create something better there. It is a town easy to root for, after suffering so many generations of corruption, mismanagement and being discarded, where casinos hoard wealth like dragons in caves.
I want to thank Create 48 and Atlantic City Arts Foundation for allowing me to be a part of this year’s mural project in the Orange Loop. They are some of the people who are creating that positive change in a small town, spanning only 48 blocks. It was wonderful to experience, bringing close friends, a family of artists, together to make something beautiful for AC. I know everyone involved left there wanting to come back and continue what has already been started.”
