“3 walls created in Ostend within close proximity to each other, for the wonderful The Crystal Ship Oostende inspired by the relationships and actions we take when living together as a community within society, a response when I considered the work and attitudes of Ostend artist Ensor.”
KMG
“When we invited KMG to Ostend and told the Scottish artist about these three bare walls within the same quarter, it sparked immediately inspiration. Playing with Ensor’s expressionic ‘The Fight’ from 1925, we see here a contemporary reflection of the struggles a community inherently has – is it a fight or more of a hug? However looking alike, it is more Ensor’s attitude that inspired these three pieces as opposed to one specific artwork.”
