“I’ve realized this wall for the “Associazione Volontari Campi Flegrei” in a neighborhood of Naples called Pianura.
The mural is on the facade of a temporary shelter built soon after the 1980’s Irpinia earthquake and still inhabited.
Before my arrival the facade was burnt by few parked cars on fire.
The association Volontari Campi Flegrei takes care in the afternoon, of the education of children and teenagers between 6 and 18 years old who live in particular conditions, with the goal of offering them a support in the study and an alternative to the “street life” in this west area of Naples.
During the last 6 months the children have worked on the theme of “sensibility” and all its ramifications and I was choosen by them to realize this mural. “Open” is an invitation to remain human towards each other and to let our feelings spread despite our cages.”
