“Inspired by the Greek Temple of Erechtheion
As an artist, I am constantly driven to redefine classical ideas and give them the justice they truly deserve. In this mural, I draw inspiration from the magnificent Greek temple of Erechtheion, where the sculpted female figures known as caryatids gracefully support an entablature on their heads.
However, my interpretation goes beyond the surface. I aim to erase the negative connotations of slavery associated with this classical concept and instead shine a light on the profound meaning it holds. In my mural, the bridge’s columns symbolize the strength and resilience of women, serving as pillars of support in our society.
Each style depicted in the mural represents diverse and powerful women, reflecting their multidimensional nature and contributions to the world. Like mother nature herself, they are the creators of life and embody the purest form of beauty that exists on Earth.
Let this mural stand as a tribute to the unwavering spirit of women, celebrating their immense power, diversity, and significance in shaping our world. May it inspire us all to appreciate and uplift the strength and beauty that lies within each and every one of us.”
