“This wall is based on the interpretation of the following story:
I think it was the second year we held the Pamoja festival, 2016, when many refugees had come to Sweden and Kiruna. It was a huge deal for the community and an incredible commitment among the people to welcome and take care of the newcomers. We brought in an artist to the festival, who’s a real musical talent and plays music within many different genres. He was the main act one night, and we had invited the young newcomers to this event. When this artist started playing music that they recognised, even in languages that they were familiar with, it fired up a fantastic atmosphere in the room! It was so incredibly nice, one of the greatest moments in that room.”
