ABOUT THE MURAL
““El último abrazo” es una foto de Belal Khaled en la que retrata a un padre abrazando al cuerpo de su hijo, asesinado por un bombardeo Israelí en Khan Yunis, suroeste de La Franja de Gaza. Descubrí que Belal, a parte de todo el trabajo que hace como fotoperiodista en Gaza, antes ha pintado murales por todo el mundo con una caligrafía árabe muy potente y me pareció que pintar una de sus fotografías en un mural para éste evento era una forma de tratar de mandarle fuerza a el y a su pueblo, mientras seguimos gritando desde aquí el cese al fuego.

ABOUT THE PROJECT
“On February 3th, different artists got together to paint 4 walls – one for each color of the Palestinian flag – in which we used images taken by different photojournalists from Gaza as reference; thus trying to show our opinion on the incessant and ruthless Israeli attack on Palestine and giving visibility to the work of these journalists and the Unmute Gaza collective.
