Long famed for the minimal, yet powerful murals he’s painted along the barrier separating Israel from the Palestinian-administered West Bank, the elusive graffiti extraordinaire has just revealed a new project in Bethlehem, a significant place in the context of Christmas, entitled The Alternativity. The first half of it, installed near the Milk Grotto Church, examines the meaning of ‘peace’ in the modern world. The second displays two angels attempting to pry their way through the ‘great wall.’..”
