“Ghettification”
Ragusa, Italy: new piece by Argentinian street artist Francisco Diaz aka Pastel for FestiWall.
“Ghettification
Located in the newest area from Ragusa, the wall is based on the idea of ghettification, referred to the concept of a group of local people they have always live in the city, but pushed away, to the boundaries, and modifying their life quality toward less comunication, less dialogue with the environment and with public spaces. Is not illogical to think that people disadvantaged economically, get forced to move away from the center, leaving their lifelong houses to inhabit in a shoebox. Is logical to think that a fig tree in a pot will die soon.”
